To put it into perspective, there are more masks then there are regular items, and each one has a different effect. While there are only 4 dungeons compared to Ocarina's 9, there are infinitely more side quests, mainly based around masks.
It is revealed to you that Majora's mask has mysterious, dark power, and the world will end with the moon crashing down onto it if you don't do something, quick! Fortunately, your trusty ocarina has the power to turn back time and give yourself another 3 days.Īnyway, if you remember Ocarina of Time, there are only a handful of sidequests, and the main focus was put into the main quest. You have 3 days to complete a series of quests to turn yourself into normal Link. A skull kid wearing a mysterious mask, later revealed to be Majora's mask, steals the Ocarina of Time and turns you into a Deku Scrub! They knock you off your horse and you pass out. 2 fairies, similar to Navi, come and start bothering you. The story begins as you ride on epona through an unnamed forest as a kid. Out of any n64 game ever released, this probably has the most content, thanks to the expansion pack.
